Interceptor:

• in addition, we recommend Frontline for flea and tick prevention

Our heartworm prevention policy

• If you miss more than 2 months in a row of dosing we require a heartworm test before further purchase to ensure that your pet has not contracted heartworm disease.  This is for your pets' safety.  Administration of heartworm preventative to a pet with an active heartworm infection can lead to a life threatening reaction.  
• Heartworm testing is performed every 2 years if you utilize heartworm prevention yearly, and if you chose not to we will perform the test yearly. In addition, the heartworm test also gives us information concerning tick born illnesses. 
• We will send you a reminder card when you are running out of prevention based on the amount of heartworm prevention you have purchased.
• If you prefer, we can mail the doses directly to your house for the cost of postage. 
• For your convenience, we can call you monthly to remind you to dose your pet.  Please let a receptionist know if you would like to be added to the call list. 
• We will not honor faxed requests from outside pharmacies due to their histories of unethical and illegal business practices.  If purchasing from an outside source we will require a yearly heartworm test.  Prescriptions will be written only upon request from our clients.
