What You Need to Know Before Your Pet's Upcoming Grooming Appointment
Who will perform the bathing and grooming?
- Our professional groomer, Shannon, will be performing your pets bathing and grooming.
What type of bath and haircut will your pet receive?
- Shannon will groom your pet based on breed and your preference. If there are any questions concerning the type of cut Shannon will be glad to call you to discuss your pets grooming.
- Lioncuts are available on cats.
- If your pet requires a specific shampoo, please let our staff know so we can accomadate your request or bring the shampoo with you.
When will the grooming occur and what time will I be able to pick my pet up?
- Grooming is by appointment only.
- Your pet will be scheduled to drop off by one of our receptionists. Drop off time is between 6:15 and 9:00 AM.
- Once your pet's grooming appointment has been completed you will recieve a phone call concerning a time to pick your pet up.
Are there any requirements for grooming?
Since our grooming is performed in a hospital environment we have some requirements in order to be groomed.
- Your pet should be in good health.
- Your pet is required to be current on vaccination (DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella).
- Your pet is required to be on a flea and tick control product or they will be administered Capstar by our office to prevent the spread of fleas.
- Sedation may be required on cats to reduce anxiety and to ensure the safety of our staff. Bloodwork will be required prior to sedation to ensure the safe usage of sedatives.
- If Shannon identifies a health issue during the process of grooming your pet you will recieve a phone call with recommendations and suggestions.
